Ingredients:
- 1 lb baby bok choy, halved lengthwise
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp water
Instructions:
- Rinse the bok choy thoroughly under cold water and slice each head of baby bok choy in half lengthwise.
- Fill a pot with 1 inch of water and add salt. Bring to a boil, then place the bok choy in a steamer basket cut-side down. Cover and steam for 3 to 5 minutes until stalks are translucent but still have a slight bend.
- Heat sesame oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant and pale gold.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and water. Simmer for 1 minute until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Arrange the steamed bok choy on a platter and immediately pour the hot garlic sauce over the centers.
