Ingredients:

  • 2 thick slices of Sourdough bread
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pinch flaky sea salt
  • 1 pinch freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Butter one side of the sourdough slices. Use the back of a large spoon to firmly press down the center of each slice to create a deep indentation, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
  2. Place the bread slices into the air fryer basket. Carefully crack one egg into each indentation.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded cheese around the edges of the egg, focusing on the bread borders to create a cheesy crust.
  4. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8 minutes, or until the egg whites are set and the cheese is golden and bubbling.
  5. Season with flaky sea salt and black pepper before serving.
